SUMMARY:WRIQ Member Breakfast: RPAS (Drone) Technology Showcase for the Waste and Recycling Industry
DESCRIPTION:WRIQ will host a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) technology showcase\, delivered by the Department of the Environment\, Tourism\, Science and Innovation. This practical session will give members a first-hand look at how advanced drone technology is being used by government to support monitoring\, surveying and data analysis across waste and resource recovery operations. \nThe session will include a presentation from the department’s RPAS team outlining current flight operations\, tools and analytical capabilities\, followed by a live flight demonstration of a fixed-wing survey drone (the Quantum Systems Trinity Pro). Experienced government pilots will walk through how data is captured\, processed and used to inform regulatory oversight and operational decision-making. \nWhy attend\n\nSee RPAS technology in action and understand its real-world capabilities\nLearn how drones can support waste facility monitoring\, site management and data collection\nUnderstand how government is using these tools — and what that means for industry\nExplore how similar technologies could be implemented within waste and recycling operations to improve efficiency\, safety and compliance\n\nThis showcase is designed to help members better understand emerging technology\, its practical applications\, and how it can be leveraged within the waste and recycling sector  \nThank you to our event host \n \n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTRATION\nWRIQ Members: $90 inc GST • Non Members: $125 inc GST\nBreakfast will be provided \nBookings close 12noon\, Friday 6 February 2026\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW
