DESCRIPTION:As lithium-ion battery volumes continue to rise across the waste and recycling stream\, so too do the operational\, safety and regulatory challenges facing Queensland’s resource recovery sector\, with operators increasingly being required to respond to risks that are difficult to detect\, manage and contain.\nThis dedicated industry forum will focus on the practical actions\, systems and technologies needed to better identify\, manage and respond to lithium battery risks across collection\, transport\, storage and processing environments. \nKey areas of discussion will include: \n\nBattery identification\, handling and incident response across collection vehicles\, transfer stations and MRFs\nPractical site solutions and technologies\, including AI detection\, thermal and odour monitoring\, extinguishing systems and containment approaches\nSafe storage\, handling and recycling pathways for end-of-life batteries\nEmerging stewardship\, regulatory developments and industry preparedness\n\nThe forum will conclude with an industry discussion on the potential development of a dedicated training course focused on lithium battery risk management across the waste and recycling sector. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				FURTHER DETAILS TO COME SOON\nDress code: Business casual.
