Alison Price’s quotes appeared in an article published by Ipswich Today on the refusal by Ipswich City Council to approve the development application by Wood Mulching Industries, resulting in a WMI appeal to the Planning and Environment Court. 

Waste Recycling Industry Association Queensland Chief Executive Officer Alison Price said the WMI application was about improvements.

“It was about transitioning from open-air composting to enclosed, in-vessel technology, which is exactly the direction government policy encourages,” Ms Price said.

“Transitioning to enclosed composting technology is a complex process that involves major capital investment, planning approvals and regulatory oversight.”
